I know this isn't anywhere close to where I live, but it's close enough that it looks like where I live. Just a reminder of how vast and empty the southwest is. 😶
yeah it's real easy to forget how vast this continent is and how much empty space still exists.
The fact that blew my mind is there are as many people in LA as there are in the entire southwest/Rocky Mountain states. Like damn.
This is such an incredible photo! I love the abrupt shift in color into the distant mountains, and the thousands of scrubby shadows bring out the contrast and texture of the plain—stark without becoming dull!
