We’ve been playing Root Letter: Last Answer on our own time. If we’re being frank, it’s a fairly mediocre mystery VN: you can sleepwalk through the core investigation loop, it’s riddled with bugs, and the frequency of typos is off-putting. But this re-release of Root Letter added a live-action mode, and, well…look at it. It’s goofy, hideous, and absolutely wonderful. We see the kitten hovering in a Photoshopped pose in that fourth image, and all we can think is “Goddamn, this rules.”
