A Ritual
For the cultivated tree to grow to its fullest potential, limbs must be pruned and connections ended so that their chosen futures may flourish. Under a sky of endless night, you have come to separate yourself from your sibling that both may grow unimpeded by the other, and that you may claim the Grotto truly and without question your own.
To begin this ritual, meet under the rising moon bearing the blade that will cut the shapes of your futures.
Ritual Actions
During A Rite of Severance, you may take the following Ritual Actions; you may also choose, but are not required, to claim a :black: Ritual XP Action at any time.
- Describe the process of disentangling yourself from another
- Lose yourself to the night and the stars above
- Lose yourself to your pain and your purpose
- Speak truly about how you feel about a lover, enemy, or family
- Reflect on what you’re losing when you cut someone or something away
- Look to a future, free from the chains that hold you back
- Observe how the effects of this rite may ripple through others
- Invoke another Ritual or symbol of power as part of a combo move
