"Peony!" Winding Ivy swats at her, gently. "We're already flying. We are literally flying."
"I couldn't help it!" Peony says, laughing into Ivy's shoulder. "It's still just really funny." She turns her face up, eyes wide. "And also I'm cute."
"You're too cute," Ivy says, putting a palm on her faceโthe one not holding Peony at the small of her back. "And now I've got it stuck in my head. Cute but evil. I'm going to start humming it on accident and my parents are going to think I like their music."
Peony bats her eyelashes. "Maybe you should kiss me again so I can't keep it up."
"Maybe I should drag you back down to the ground and drop you in your backyard," Ivy grumbles, but she's already leaning back in. She has to admit: this gig might have perks after all.
