I love the ambiguity because it's unapologetic. I read a lot of manga and there are these elaborate and entirely unconvincing setups for kink stuff that make you feel like the author expects you to be ashamed to like this stuff and has therefore provided you with a convenient justification for why it's good, or coincidental, or simply can't be helped that our hero picked up a harem of catgirl sex slaves or whatever. I don't want kink that is sorry to be kink.

p.s. my headcanon for the farm stuff is this is a world where the laws of physics dictate that if you trip and fall you'll end up bound and exposed to a fence, or if you're moving around in the dark, when the light comes out you'll probably have somehow tied yourself to a table. these things just happen, y'know.

exactly. if i can't conceive of a believable reason for something like this to happen, i don't want to present one at all, and it drives me nuts when a reason is so contrived it wheels back around to stupid. i'd rather no context than stupid context
