I remember years and years ago seeing a mod for Morrowind called Gauntlet. It was meant to be a total conversion of Morrowind to transform it into the 1985 arcade game by Midway, Gauntlet. Back in 2006 or 2007, when I originally found the mod, I wasn't able to get it running. I think it's just because I was 15/16 and didn't really get how to install it (mostly because the instructions were slightly wrong).
After playing through Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows with my friend @exmortis, I got to thinking about this mod again. I did some googling and couldn't find it. So then, I hit up the Wayback Machine, and with a bit of effort, I did find it! The file was preserved and everything, so I was able to install it and check it out.
I recorded a playthrough of the mod, so if you want to just watch the video instead of reading this, it's right here.
The creator VoodooCrispy on Planet Elder Scrolls included just these two images.

"The layout of level 1. Look familiar?"
There are 4 save files included, one for each character, all prebuilt. When loading one of those save files, you're met with a door and a note.

Entering the door, you're welcomed by the Gauntlet announcer. Many sounds have been replaced by the announcer's callouts from the arcade game. Since only 3 levels were finished, there's not a huge amount of unique content here. There are 2 enemy types, Ghosts and Grunts, both of which use existing models from Morrowind.

There are keys and doors, potions and scrolls (which stand in for food and potions respectively, as the introductory note states), chests worth 100 points, everything to make for a pretty convincing replication of Gauntlet. Ghosts die in one hit, Grunts in two, and the player in about twenty.
Finally, the exits are just a big black square that says "Exit" when you hover over it.
Since floor 3 is the last implemented floor, its exit just rotates when you try to use it.

It's obviously a pretty small mod, and it doesn't include any new assets beyond the few replaced sound effects, but it's a neat little thing. Maybe I should take a look at some other Morrowind mods...
