literally 14 hours before we're set to open pre-orders, my publisher has let me know that the printer has declined my book, saying they don't do 4x6 landscape printing; it may not be printable at all in the format I have created it in. We're still looking for alternate options. It may need to be a super limited release just for manufacturing/shipping constraints (like, for example, if I have to package and ship all of them by hand myself), or I may just cancel the project if we can't find a cost-effective way to make them in an aspect ratio that works with the shots I've been taking very intentionally in a 2:3 format for the past five months.
I'll update when we find out more; this is why there are no pre-orders open today as promised, though. I'm very sorry.
I refuse to make this some hyper-expensive limited release. if it's limited, it's limited, but I'm still shooting for $25 a copy. I really don't want price to be an obstacle; I would prefer quantity not be one, either, but even if I can only print 50 or so, I will not jack up the price. I just refuse to.
