Fell while I hiked a really shitty trail, bruised (broke?) my lower back ribcage because I LANDED ON MY GW690. camera is also destroyed. so no more medium format from me. I continually find that things can get worse, and I need to stop having hope that I’ll get a breather.
I may quit film entirely. I haven’t decided yet. If I sell my stuff I’ll do it cheaply, friends first, I’ll let y'all know
That sucks! But definitely wait a bit before giving up entirely!
I'm sure there'd be people (including me) willing to pitch in a bit to help you get a replacement cam, I know how much photography means to you and I love seeing your photos! Shit sucks now but it's not always gonna suck and you gotta have some 120 prepped for when that happens

I’d suggest to stick your film in the freezer and let your gear gather a bit of dust when you feel like you’re done. I was glad I did when I took what turned out to be a five year hiatus.
I appreciate it. I just can’t even imagine five years from now. There’s no way I’m even gonna be here at the rate I’ve been going.
The bitter truth is that I couldn’t either at the time. I got really close to fully burning out and was happy to make it to the next week or two without collapsing during the worst of it.
It turned out that if you go through enough weeks while slowly fixing and improving things it’s suddenly a couple of years later.
Oof that sucks.
I've been thinking about getting back into photography, but digital. I've got a nice old Nikon 35mm SLR from the early 2ks I haven't touched since probably 2008 that I could part with if it helps.
