i'm taking a hard ideological stance right here and now: if your game would run poorly on switch, you're making too much game. this is true of indies, even more true of triple-A

i dont know why the fuck you would look at a nintendo handheld and think "oh i just GOTTA get a game that would be taxing on a computer built new in 2023 on a 6-year-old device that was underpowered at launch"

and this isnt even switch hate, again, i love my switch. i'm the only person in the whole world who's never had her joycons drift, after 5 years of ownership and regular use. but its like. its square pegs aiming for the round hole and getting pissy when it doesnt fit.

why buy skyrim again on switch when you can spend that $60 on like. 4-12 good indies that run well. its what the system is best at

:( big agree. my switch has gone everywhere with me since 2017 and it feels like the only third party game i ever bought that runs well is the binding of isaac

granted, even nintendo is having significant trouble keeping up with performance (...totk has its moments, i didn't even bother buying the mainline pokemon games they look so bad), but like... i got cult of the lamb and it was unplayable laggy. i got spongebob rehydrated and it was unplayably laggy. i got the spyro remake and it was unplayably laggy,

at least give me steam-style 2 hour refunds or something if you're going to struggle to even hit 30fps...
