there's a horseshoe theory on like. people who tag their art with a tag for the art program they use. like. people who tag their art as #clip studio paint (when it is just art made in clip studio paint, and not about like, a resource or tutorial for clip studio paint) are either at the top of the top and are being brand ambassadors, or the very bottom and don't know that's not a very good tag for art and i find that very interesting

in reply to @victoria's post:

I've actually always assumed that people tag their art that way to pre-empt the question of "what program do you use" in lieu of making an faq, I hadn't considered people were doing it to try get further reach... <- someone who loathes to use tags for further reach

see thats not an angle i had considered at all, bc like. idk if csp does, but i know for sure the krita account will retweet stuff in their tags, and also id just be inclined to put it on a page rather than in the tags yknow

Yeah I just have an FAQ personally, but I just figured it was like whenever I click on some fanart post to see what media it's fanart of by looking at the tags, but guy who does this to find out what something was made with.. like when people tag stuff #watercolour or #colourpencil n whatnot? but interesting that krita retweets stuff, CSP does sometimes but only really if it's like a Hot Tip which they can then use as free marketing
