i really don't get how people can draw in photoshop. i had to turn on windows ink of all things to get pen pressure working at all, and that fucking sucks.

but then drawing in practice sucks too! like, i get how you can make homestuck panels in it, but this is primarily because the way homestuck panels look is informed by how photoshop works - all the lines are just default photoshop pencil, put through andrew hussie's skewed worldview. this is something i can look at and accept. but then i think about illustrators who have more complex linework and imagine drawing in photoshop, and die on the spot.

what the fuck.

It's the way that photoshop just feels absolutely yucky to draw in to me that baffles me. I used to use photoshop! It was my primary program of choice as a young teen, but then I got SAI and hough. HOUGH!! GOUAGH. the DRAWFEEL!!! its so much smoother, i just hated the lack of any text tool n whatnot in SAI so couldnt fully give up PS. but then i got CSP and that was that. but literally any time i go back to photoshop, even compared with all the stabilisers switched off in SAI/CSP, it just feels nasty to draw in the lines are just drawn wrong and the pressure processing is grimy it just feels grimy to me
