I play a lot of FFXIV. I listen to a lot of music that is either extremely fast or extremely slow. Täällä menee kaikki alas, ja vankeus on lievin mahdollinen rangaistus

My weirdest gaming opinion is probably that I think I would personally enjoy a stand-alone, single-player edition of many of the world's well-known and lesser known MMORPGs. How would dungeons and raids work? Fuck if I know. Balance? No clue. I guess it's just leftover nostalgia for World of Warcraft calling back after a good while of not even thinking about the game.

Have you ever tried Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning? It is unironically that– they literally started developing it as an MMORPG and pivoted comparatively late in the game to pure single-player. Mechanically they pulled it off; flavor-wise it is the most "wow this feels like it should be an MMORPG with half-naked people bouncing around in their skivvies every time I leave a quest cutscene" single-player game I've ever touched.

Also I just think it's pretty good.

(Although if you try it I must recommend the originalish version. They got rid of that on Steam and now you can only buy the "REMASTER" which is fucked up with bloom slider and other "DOESN'T THIS LOOK BETTER?!" video settings choices. Weak.)

I have had Amalur for a while in my library but I don't think I've hardly ever cleared much further than the tutorial area and a bit beyond and this was a while ago. It could very well be blocky yet colorful enough for it? Sadly my elf won't be as pretty, but those are the breaks.

PRETTY sure it is the original version, to boot. :host-evil:

Excellent. Big hearty recommendation to give that a go and see if it suits you! Of note, each weapon handles very differently and IMO the key to having fun is finding the weapons that make your heart soar/produce giggles of gremlin glee as you ragdoll four dudes into the ceiling. (For me it's chakrams with a side of daggers in a sneak-mage hybrid build, but they have a VERY nice variety.)
