i heard from people ik who went that they were actively discouraged from and prevented from blocking off the museum from the gala attendees. the organizers immediately let the police set up a path/blocking fences for attendees to get to the museum through. link to summary in comments

my desire in sharing these things is not to be a downer or snarky negative critic, im just trying to share reporting from twitter on here bc ik cohost doesnt get a lot of the same up to date info. and also bc as someone who shares and encourages these actions on both platforms, id like ppl to have accurate info from those actively participating ... even if it isnt what we hope to hear back
