just learned that Stanley Cups, those viral trend for big metal cups rn, contain lead as part of their sealing process. the cup has to be damaged for the lead to become exposed to human people, but this is still such a funny development

i want to be very clear. there is no unique risk to lead poisoning bc this is a problem true of all temp preserving flasks usually due to a sealed lead pellet for temp control.
what is amusing abt this is the panic it is causing in a certain demographic participating in a mass-consumerism event
