bruh. when i learned that the "craft" in "theorycraft(ing)" is literally from world of warcraft. wtf. i just thought it meant like in general crafting a strategy or a build in theory but nope! originally it literally meant "thinking about world of warcraft so you could optimize playing world of warcraft"
as someone who never engaged with WoW in any way beyond like messing around in the opening areas this information sends a chill down my spine
