i want to stress that the website league is for *everyone.* only the computer people have to run websites; we're writing guides to make it simple to learn. at its simplest: once you are signed up for a website, you can treat it like cohost, except you put people's addresses (@username@website.org) into the search bar to see their posts, instead of their usernames.

which website you choose to sign up on doesn't matter as much as Mastodon; you can choose one based on which one's address you'd like to see after your name the most. we're all using a baseline of the same rules, and we're all connected. you can talk to your friends no matter where which site they end up choosing.
