edit: also, on this, the final day of cohost, I will point out that the tree outside the window has windows xp folder leaves for no reason



last december i started putting together this scene that was intended to be a little diorama of cinnabar island from pokemon red/blue/yellow. i mostly was using it to try techniques for spawning particles on a surface (the grass) as well as generate brick walls. i kinda made a huge mess when i built it (things parented strangely and with weird pivot points) and wasn't happy with how it was turning out (aside from the cute surfing pokemon model), so i just moved on.

i came back to it today because I wanted to try out the 3-point lighting i spent a couple hours on (also applied here) as well as a fingerprint clay shader I made following a tutorial earlier (also seen in my avatar). i also fiddled with a few other things

there are a few more problems with it that i'm not going to bother to fix because i'd rather move on from it, but i'm pretty happy with how it turned out overall.
