Okay this is a good place to get all my ideas and ramblings out about this project idea.
My brain is constantly stuck in “virtual pets/pokemon/little creatures” mode, and these days I tend to just go along with it and not wrangle my impulses into a more typical kind of Art Thing. Anyway this one that’s been developing in my head lately is defined by digimon-style 1:1 monster to human partner dynamics; kids that team up with strange, upsetting, but ultimately friendly little monsters.
The mood of digimon tamers, but the monster aesthetic of item label or the trash pack. These colorful little miscreants crawled out of the landfill on the edge of town one day and are looking for rude kids to form life-bonds with! :-)
The example [project name pending] entity here is named Blugu. It has a head wound that leaks and can’t see very well, but it seems friendly enough. Maybe with care it will evolve into something new?
