Have you felt the sweaty pleasure of survival horror at one point in your life or another? Do you miss it, or, even crazier, seek it out like I do? Then check out this $10 game form Narayan Walters called Parasitic, where you are a torso with just one arm that is being slowly eaten by a parasite and must move, holster his weapons and reload them with an entirely mouse-based control scheme.
Despite some achy wrist, I loved it. And it made me happy to think that there are survival horror games being made; and many of them don't even look like they are PS1 throwbacks! Pathologic 2, Endoparasitic, Receiver and its sequel... cast your eyes not toward triple-A or popular indie twitter horror pastiches but to games like these for that manic termitey feel of running down hallways and past horrible dangers to scrap a few bullets or glue some gems together. True survival horror never dies!!!
