discovered today that you can remove a permanent marker tag from concrete with a scouring pad and isopropyl alcohol, in case anyone needs a way to do that
the one caveat is that you'll bring up a slurry of powdered concrete and permanent marker that will stain the everloving shit out of your hands, but that was, speaking purely theoretically, a small price to pay to get rid of the particular tag that was theoretically bothering me
