I hope cohost can support video eventually not in like tiktok/reels way but like hey I made this video art or short film and would like to put it in a chost
there have already been multiple occasions where I wanted to post a video but I had to like make an unlisted yt upload or something and embed it instead.
I totally understand the bandwidth limitations of that sort of thing, but frankly I wouldn't even mind if all videos got scrunched down to 480p if it just means we get any sort of video functionality at all. Even make it a Cohost+ feature or smthn, it'd be totally justifiable to have to pay for that, since your video posts would objectively cost more to host and serve.
yeah, to be clear our lack of video support is not like a Principled Stand we're taking or whatever, we just haven't had the spare time to write the code yet
