Oh that guy! The wheels of justice grind slowly and so on. It was hilarious watching all the videos picking apart how very staged his video was. (Possibly funniest bit: he had fire extinguishers strapped to his legs under his pants. As you do when just minding your own business not staging a plane crash or anything.)
I had to remind myself about this case because I kept getting it confused with the red bull guys who did the air to air transfer. I think they avoided a criminal investigation and just had their licenses permanently revoked.
