Hello and welcome to my mini golf review blog! This is me, your mini golf reviewer, Grimbo. Very excited to post about my mini golf experiences! Especially once I figure out how to access the draft of a post I saved which had some background on my mini golf history and my plans for this blog and how I will structure my reviews. ⛳️🏌🏼‍♀️✨

hello new followers!!!! boy there are a lot of you!

I’m Caitlin, or Grim, or Grimbo (or any other grim-based derivative you can think of). I just recently finished grad school, which means I have free time again, and that hopefully means More Mini Golf! This blog is a fun thing I’ve been threatening to do for a long time and it will be pretty casual, but even still, I’m Excited to get back to playing again!! 🤠🙌🏼✨

My questions for y’all are: Do you have any notable mini golf experiences? Are there any places you’ve been to that were super fun, or well-themed, or memorable for any other special reason? I’d love to hear about them! I’ll keep a list and try to visit places where I can when I’m traveling (I’m in New York so places in the northeast are more doable, but tbh I’m happy to hear about anywhere).

Thank you for following!! Hope y’all enjoy Cohost!!! :eggbug:

there are a couple of minigolf courses at the entrance of Universal Studios FL -- neither of them is particularly difficult, but they're both very well themed (which I guess isn't surprising?). I played them with a friend who was visiting from the NE who I'd never met in person, and it was a really nice time!

Because Massachusetts is a caricature of itself, I have just learned that the mini-golf place where I first learned I was a Gamer™ has actually been "Colonial-Themed" this whole time. It's called Golf on the Village Green, and I think it might be fairly unremarkable as mini golf places go, except for the glimpse into American History as it's portrayed in MA.

Unfortunately, the course itself and the gaming shack on the western end of the lot are now owned by Fun and Games™, a local MA chain arcade company. They have long since replaced the extremely cool light-cycle TRON ripoff arcade game that I played once when I was a little guy and inexplicably managed to beat both my older brother and my dad's high scores by a wide margin.

The mini-golf course I'd probably recommend the most from the couple I've been to that are still open in Massachusetts is probably Mulligan's Miniature Golf in Sterling. I don't remember what age I went to that one, but I remember it playing around in interesting ways with verticality. When I was there decades ago, it dared to ask: "What if there's a hole that's just a long hill all the way down?"

i have been to the same mini golf place in new hyde park probably a hundred times throughout my life but i have affection for it i like the little bit where there's a cave you've gotta walk through and teens leave their empty smirnoff ice bottles and such in it. I've been to a couple others that i don't remember specifically but i do know there's two at jenkinsons boardwalk in pt pleasant and i went to the pirate themed one not the lighthouse themed one
