i think instead of letting the cosmic energies we harvest so inefficiently from a single layer of solar panels we should wait until it's all down here and then (quickly) put -another- solar panel facing opposite of the other in order to catch the rest of the photons. i have drawn up a diagram of the procedure and eagerly await my 2.7 million USD monthly payments.
this reminded me of when I learned that solar panels can cause (in some cases, substantial) local heating when set up because they reflect so much less light than most types of natural ground cover and then thought for a second "why don't we make lighter-colored solar panels then" before realizing what a silly idea that is
