this year evo was hype enough that it got me to finally buy the parts for an arcade stick which, because I can't do just one hobby at a time, I have decided to design a printable enclosure for myself while I wait for the parts to show up

an interesting design problem here is that there's only about 1.8mm of clearance under the lip of sanwa OBSF buttons which I don't think a 1.8mm printed plastic top plate is gonna hold up well to button mashing, so I decided to go through and add strengthening ribs in between each button to hopefully help. time will tell if it actually works

incredibly indebted to chastetiddy's fightstick guide and slagcoin for design info

in reply to @vogon's post:

ooh, the ribs are a neat idea! i personally haven't had any issues with the top plate on my printed leverless, although i press fairly lightly. they're definitely prone to cracking vertical pieces along the layer lines though, the rear of my case has a solid split

input from an engineering friend: "that printable enclosure is really neat too, they should use screw in buttons instead of snap in and they won't have to deal with thickness. but if not they can make ramps for the clamps instead"
