sometimes you would recommend old videos by people I was subscribed to that I hadn't gone back and watched yet! sometimes you would recommend users who were adjacent to my subscriptions!
I guess I don't get either of those now, though, unless I let youtube save a list of every video I've ever watched and then chop it up and sell it to marketing partners

it looks like it's some sort of limited-time event where they promote videos of calligraphers, which at least makes the font thematically appropriate even though the event is obviously a naked plug for YouTube Shorts
are you telling me you dont want your recommendation homepage to be two things that are vaguely related to your subscriptions and 6 things that are related to a video you happened to click on in discord or be scrolled to a search result to long enough that it started autoplaying and youtube counted it as a "view"?
