top three ways to soothe the part of your mind that won't stop crying

1. Name it. Personify it. If the part of your mind that won't stop crying were a collection of faces on a d6, what would they be? (2? 6? Is it 1 through 5 right now, but 1 normally?)

2. Find a lyric game you've never played before. Pretend someone you respect greatly told you in passing that it's a perfect game, that not one word is out of place. Read it, and feel awe.

3. Imagine talking to a friend in a way you've never done before. Sending a letter, making a discord channel where you may type one letter per hour, making a secret code that becomes decoded over a game of chess. Something baroque and unwieldy. If it feels right, tell them about it, under cover of a shitpost.

I'm offering a hug if you want it, anon. (I know having a part of your mind that won't stop crying isn't necessarily a cry for help, but I hope it doesn't feel patronizing to be offered a hug through the frayed wire of strangerdom whatever the case may be.) I'm glad you're here, whatever that means.
