top 3 productive formal constraints when writing creative

1.

The Rarity Die Game.

Write a good sentence, then replace the most interesting word with a blank.
Write down the first three candidates to fill that blank that come to mind.
Roll a d6 to fill in the blank.
1-3: The third candidate.
4-5: The second candidate.
  6: The first candidate.

2.

The Asymptote Game.

Write a draft. Then rewrite it, using half as many words.
Repeat until you are surprised by what a word can do.
Record the word you were surprised by and put it somewhere in your home.

3.

The Hardest Game.

Write in lines. Every line must have a word in common.
Every line must use the word in a way no other line did.
The difference might be formal, definitional, a different part of speech, etc.
Repeat until exhausted.
