we know a lot of systems like to joke that "despite everything, it's still you" doesn't apply to them, but we feel the opposite.

we are quite literally not the person we looked in the mirror at years ago, even 2 months go. however, we're still here. we're might be different people, but we're part of a whole — even when it was just vurren, they were part of that whole too. we formed out of the whole's experiences and needs. despite everything, despite the changes, despite not being vurren, we're all part of the bigger picture that is stated as "you"

and yknow, "you" can be grammatically plural

being "mutuals" does not matter. "mutuals" is an illusion of actual friendship. we treat everyone like they are an acquaintance, unless proven otherwise. we leave nice comments on people's posts who we don't follow and who don't follow us, and we welcome and accept nice comments from people who don't follow us or who we dont follow back. we accept change in these dynamics, because we understand enough friendly conversation can become something more than two random people on a website. we assert our boundaries but we dont treat non-friends as never-friends

we have been on too many websites where mutuals were treated as holy and anyone otherwise was a stranger. to us, this is social media for those who actually want to be social. we hope you all will feel that, too
