i think a lot about how much I despise the word "content" and i really like this alternative, for fandom-related works at least. a reply on the tweet also mentions how "fanworks" can apply to so many different forms of art when "fanart" is usually implied to be illustrations. makes you wonder why the term fell out of fashion
