MOVED TO @VURRSYS

I saw this bracha (jewish blessing) a few months ago on tumblr and I'm still thinking about it pretty heavily. (note: the prayer isn't just for appearance, that's just a suggested use in whatever book this came from.

it states:

" בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהֵוָהֵ, אֱלהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הָעולָם מְשַנֶּה הַבְּרִיּוֹת"

baruch ata adonai, eloheinu melech ha-olam, m’shaneh ha-briyot.

blessed are you, the creator, our g-d, sovereign of the universe, who makes creatures different.

and i dont know, that really resonated with me. i am a very different person from the majority of society, i'd say. i'm queer and neurodivergent, i'm alterhuman and my interests are weird and abnormal. this blessing is for me. its for everyone who feels othered by the world. a prayer for yourself as an act of self love. a prayer for your loved ones to celebrate the quirks that make them themselves. A prayer to strangers to appreciate the variety of the world.

i'm a brainweird genderweird animal Thing, and i should love that about me.

im still connecting with my jewish ethnicity/heritage, and this blessing was a really nice thing to find.

wrote up two poems with some css! one of them is an older one and the other i wrote as an excuse to use the css i messed with lol. stay tuned for those!
