I was lucky enough to find an abandoned beer brewing kit on the sidewalk a couple weeks ago, and ive been itching for years to make a sealed terrarium, so this seemed like as good a time as any to watch a bunch of youtube and try to just wing it.
Ive bought for this experiment a bunch of pearlite for the drainage layer (a few chunks of lava rock in there), and some decent potting mix for tropical plants with plenty of moss and bark inclusion.
The plants I have here are neanthe bella palm, pumosa fern, polka dot something, and fittonia nerve plant.
also in the mix, a little clump of moss that thawed from my planters this afternoon. followup coming soon.
