I've noticed some people like to deliberately muddy the water w/r/t a zero tolerance policy on pedophilia. eg slippery slope "if you ban this, any kink will be next" and so on, in order to force a compromise or convince on-the-fence people that banning pedophilia would be a mistake
so I'd like to bring up an example of an online space that bans pedophilia but is full of kink. You've heard of it. It's second life
in second life, every adult server will usually have a rulecard at the door and it's always: 18+ only, no children, no underage avatars
and second life is not remotely "held back" by the level of kink on it. it contains an onslaught of sexual imagery that will delight, shock, and even disturb you. it is famous for its unhinged approach to sexual fetishes and it does all this with a zero tolerance policy on pedophilia
compromising on the matter of allowing child sexuality is not necessary. you can take a no tolerance policy on it. be like second life. it's easy
