I talked last night about how a lax attitude towards pedophilia got the tv tropes forum featured on somethingawful's Weekend Web here: https://cohost.org/thewaether/post/1627829-the-site-was-tv-trop

and from here I want to say that anything but a zero tolerance approach to pedophilia will put the posters on your site at risk: even those who don't engage with the material: there are lots of lolcow "farm" sites and places like something awful who will come to your site, point and laugh at it, say everyone who posts there is a pedophile, drag members and staff around for public ridicule, and probably use it as fuel to fire rumours that queers and pedophiles hang out together

if there isn't a zero-tolerance approach to pedophilia, then this is a ticking time bomb

It's wild that people think other wise. Like, is there room for nuance on these subjects? Sure! Is that room my living room? No! The internet is a big place if you need to for some reason post that art to deal with your trauma (which why you wouldn't keep that to yourself and not post that is beyond me but whatever) you still don't need to be able to post about it on THIS site. Part of being an adult is knowing when and where things are and aren't appropriate it's fine. Cohost does not need to be the place that allows that shit if you skirt the rules. It already has a rep as a place that had to stop and think about it that's bad enough
