turn off that FPS counter and stop giving a shit. you’ll enjoy your games so much more
spend less money on lower-spec hardware, and then when it chugs pat it on the back and say "youre doing your best".
you will pack bond with your computer.

(i agree. i have never had a computer powerful enough for ~gaming~ so i barely notice if it's like 15fps. which might be too far in the other direction but)
nah that's The Way,
low end computer + low settings, always pleasantly surprising when it runs not bad
fps that low tend to make me motion sick tbh? But like I have a really good PC and shit and I don’t want to worry about having 90fps instead of 120 you know. I’m fine with anything above 30fps as long as it’s not wildly going up and down. When I had a 2070 I played control with raytracing and shit, didn’t run super well but locking it at 30fps was stable and gave me a console/cinematic experience and I was happy with it
Every time my 2011 desktop successfully renders a new videogame, I feed a cookie through the cd reader. This may not be helping with performance but it feels right.
we do these things not because they are beneficial, but because they are kitsch. amen.
