@warc asked:

what do you think about the captain's antag status?

On one wing I really love the concept of the inserted/brainwashed saboteur also being the most trusted and highest ranking member of the station, but rather than siphoning sensitive information or like, aiding in some sort of larger syndicate plot he instead just vandalises the place a bit.

On the other IDK what do to about the play-to-win sweatbois it seems to attract. I get why folks get tired of McCaptainEveryRoundSoICanBeTheRoundsProtagonist. I tend to shy away from that sort of discussion. >>;

(Also minor thing but I think cap could stand to lose access to the other heads' lockers. Invading others' privacy is more a chief mall cop vibe imo. Also I hope it occasionally tips people off to greedy or antag captains when they go add that access for themselves.)

in reply to @BatElite's post:

i think the captain is inherently an antagonist role. a non-traitor captain should have unique goals that run at 90 degrees to those of everyone else on the station, normal and antag alike.

the captain didn't end up 1. a Captain 2. of Space Station 13 by being normal.

YEAH!
I think where I'd like to see things headed is the captain (and some heads) & security team kind of alloyed together in a sort of tenuous shitty symbiotic relationship where what they want isn't what either the crew or the antags want.

You boss is (almost) never your friend but they are also not (always) your enemy.
