About a year ago I made melon a cat hammock out of a thrifted wool blazer. She loved the hell out of it for the spring and summer months and then lost interest completely in the fall, and hasn't sat in it since.
I decided to take it apart to clean the jacket, and found there were several holes in the surface that don't seem consistent with the way she usually wears n tears her bedding- the wool is almost falling apart at the edges, not just unraveling but crumbling to the touch, and the holes are surrounded by this sandy-feeling, coarse material.
I don't know what I should be looking for here but there's no sign of rodents, is this moth activity??? have I been catterpillared? Is this just what happens to wool when you give it to a spoiled little kitty??????
