this is already a solved problem in most of the world, US banks are just laughably deficient
i can just log onto my bank and directly send someone money, they can either just receive it directly to their account or via email or sms
it is not impossible science fiction technology to just be able to send a person money without a credit card getting involved
and like yeah admittedly i cant use that to automatically pay a recurring subscription online yet (probably because all these payment processor fuckos are US based and always use credit cards but idk im not a banker) but like i can use them to pay my taxes and electric bills so we're not that far off

of course there is some degree of baggage with international transfers - internationally moving money is always a tricky thing due to having to make sure its not being used to avoid taxes or launder crime money. that's def a contributing factor to a lot of this

Like, the issue when it comes to payment processing for furries (and, more broadly, less marketer-friendly queer and queer-leaning communities generally) is the whole "how do we make international payments easy enough to support things like subscription services?" thing, which isn't a problem solved by, for a Canadian example, e-Transfer, which doesn't exactly work with banks outside Canada.
Though I guess we could just get familiar with international services other than PayPal like Western Union or whatever.
