the tweeters on both of my late father in law's L20Ts blew out some years ago, and being some Pretty Dang Good monitors it seemed like a shame not to try to fix them.
but.
can't be arsed to pay 200$ for replacement fragile ass O35Tis, so a 40$ pair of Pyle Dryvers and some 4-ohm inline resistors and honestly, sounds acceptable.
The 5" size of the original tweeters is awkward to find a replacement for, so I 3D printed a plate 4mm thick, 100% infill PLA with a 1mm recess for the new driver.
It might not be Hi-Fi but they sound crisp, bright, and saved from the junk room.
