The Shooting Star Hammer is a piece of advanced magitechnology made before the post-supernova era of The Dreamite Expanse.
Before the supernova, half of the previous civilization had fled into space, and the other stayed behind. Five extremely powerful objects were created in hopes that a celestial starblast could be defended against.
Hammer, Anvil.
Sword, Shield.
And, a staff.
Realistically, these would have been enough to stop a regular supernova. However, the star they happened to be around emitted a pulse of superluminal energy as it went off, rendering any defense useless. Not even their "god" could do anything.
