found this stranded under a pile of shipping cardboard where it got left after i failed to put it back away a few(?) months ago.

bought this in Japan in 2005 or so. i don't recall if it was new or used or whether or not these originally came with AC adapters (thinking they did) or whether these suffer the RF-only U.S. versions' terrible jailbar artifacts (thinking they didn't). it seemed to break after light usage in the U.S. a year or two later (i assumed due to the power standard difference + my old place's demonstrably dangerous AC) but my friend tested it a few(?) months ago and found it working just fine. so idk!

Binary Land may be the only Famicom cart i have, so the console never got much use. i find it unusually interesting for a mid-'80s single-screen action game so was happy to snap it up for 200 yen or whatever it must've been.

Also, someone please make a game called Nonbinary Land? It's 2023 and it's right there. It's time1.

  1. it's also time i tidy up the ever-worsening depression mess consuming my home >_>2
  2. i mean, theoretically3
  3. it sounds like a nice idea...
