She cycles through a few over the course of the series but I think they were all at least that glittery. I think it’s one of those things that reads a lot better in broadcast standard definition.
I had a Voltron action figure with silver flecks in the paint. I think it was part of the Voltron Gladiator series (aka Albegas), which was the Voltron series that never actually came to the United States.
They probably made it that glittery because they knew how flat it would otherwise look with Voyager's extremely flat lighting methodology
