Yeah i feel similarly.
Best modern FO game? Surely. But the Bethesda-made competition isn't stiff! And the combat / action / character building part still plays out pretty unimpressively since it uses the FO3 system.
Gotta be mostly the writing and/or quest design, right? Even if those didn't particularly win my enduring love back when i played it.
