hmm, i can work out almost exactly where that was taken from... 2nd or 3rd story of one of the parking garages on 3rd St?
heck if i remember but seems right, 3rd street between howard and folsom. worked it out on g maps:
it appears that "new" construction blocks the sightline now.
(also the spot i took the grid building shot on April 29 is about half a block forward from here.)
