oh no I'm putting a silly hover animation on a thing on my new website
as long as it's for fun!! i mean stuff like hover transitions, focus transitions, selected transitions, just things that slow down and confuse the UI of your site lol
i think i should clarify my stance in this post with an example of what i don't like. i definitely try to put :hover on every interactive element on websites i design, but there's a certain style of :hover and :focus styling that irritates me, primarily around excessive use of transition, and transitions with a very long duration
