Barbie Review

a delight to look at and I’ll admit feeling some nostalgia spotting some of the toys I actually owned as a child. also some very funny moments! at the same time, I felt like this should have come out like 8 years ago or something. it’s feminist, but in a very feminism 101 type of way, and it’s also very very binary in its world and message. also just feels kinda uncomfy watching a movie that has the Mattel logo at the beginning but then is like “ha ha isn’t Mattel so stupid” (we don’t actually care because we’re making money off of this)

I’m glad this movie exists, but I don’t really feel like it’s for me. which is fine.
