I don't understand why they took this deal.
Like yeah top execs got paid but they are also okay with losing the company if they don't reach certain revenue goals?? Sounds very fucking dumb??
Though I guess short term betting when the actual workers are the ones taking most of the risk is how capitalism goes.
They basically had to because Bungie can't sustain themselves. So this is them playing with Sony's money while management is basically saying they'll burn it all down before sacrificing the bosses' salaries.
If Destiny cannot sustain Bungie and they are working on 2 more games, with at least one more also being a live/service game...wow, management.
But also wow, Sony, maybe they were not that good of an acquisition to help with your service games initiative?
