i swear i don't need much, but every music player feels like it was made by some kind of weird goblin who listens to music in a way utterly alien to me

native file system access is still scoped to a private domain specific folder in firefox and safari (rightfully so, imo...) https://caniuse.com/native-filesystem-api
i suppose i could make it chrome only, but that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
maybe it’s a bit silly but I was thinking you’d “just” send your music library into the app and store it in local storage. or have it grab files from a nas or plex server

there are quite a few though. frankly i think the Alfred Mini Player for macOS is damn near perfect and i would kill for something like that which just worked across platforms
