Isles of Sea and Sky Review

Love how this game looks but I think I don't jive with the "open world" aspect of the puzzles. Also the controls are a bit awkward.

It's very easy to enter rooms you can't do anything yet, and there's a massive interconnected world using Zelda style "small keys" to explore. It feels like the search space is quite high.

I kinda enjoy that there's no combat BUT it means that the game is just an absurdly dense maze of puzzles, which it turns out is kind of exhausting?

Game looks great, though.

Also, about the controls, everything is just tapping directions... but you can either push a block or move, and it's all tapping the d-pad. If you hold the d-pad too long you keep moving. It's really easy to accidentally walk onto a square after pushing something when you didn't mean to.
