...I thought it had a slightly familiar look, in terms of cobalt chemistry, and indeed it's approximately the same color as chloropentamminecobalt(3) chloride, CoCl(NH₃)₅Cl₂, an easily prepared and slightly soluble complex of trivalent cobalt.
